How to disable Windows Messenger

Disable this annoying windows messenger.

1. Start -> Run 

2. Type gpedit.msc and hit Enter

3. Expand the following registry items:

Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows
Components -> Windows Messenger

4. Double click on the option "Do not allow Windows Messenger to run", and click Enabled. Hit
"Ok" and close the window.

Once you reboot your PC the messenger icon will be gone.
